Well…I don't know. Explaining that something is "for its own good" can get to be a slippery slope. I have a unique perspective because I know how things will turn out for the Geth, and Tali has already overcome so much of the racism against Geth she grew up with (and stuff that's burned into you from an early age is REALLY hard to unlearn), but European-American slaveholders also thought they were doing African-born slaves a favour by giving them food and clothes and work.
