A Centauri member of the TI Society (thinkers, ponderers, knowledge-seekers, and calculators) in the Mandrake universe, Adelicia travels on the Mandrake as personal tutor to Ariel's second-in-command (whose parents are quite wealthy and want him to get first-hand experience in piloting a ship). Adelicia is also telepathic, but as a nonhuman, she isn't subject to the Psiguild branch of the government.
